I also need to finish the first chapter to The Namless Angel, which I've been working on for about a month (the story, that is). I still need to write it out on notebook paper and then type it up. I'll provide it here so you can see what it's like (maybe just an excerpt, don't get too excited). It's about a freshman in high school who is brother to a freshman in college (Art college, in fact) and they've moved from New York to Chicago. Here, the older brother has a friend, but that friend is disliked by the younger brother. About two months after the brothers' move, the older gets fatally ill from an unknown virus. He dies two weeks after he's hospitalized, about a week after his brother's birthday. Distraught and left with nobody to go to (his mom is dead and his father was arrested), the younger runs away. That's the entire first chapter. There's going to be thirteen, ten for each trial that younger brother faces because he ran away and the three others for the resolution and beginning. By the way, the older brother's friend has a large role in the story.
